Knowing what to expect makes treatment easier. Here is how to prepare and what happens on the day.
What to bring
- Photo ID and insurance card
- A list of current medications
- Recent imaging (MRI, CT, or X-ray) if you have it
- Referral paperwork, if your plan requires one
Preparing for a procedure
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing
- Arrange a driver if you are receiving sedation
- Follow any fasting instructions we give you
- Tell us about blood thinners well in advance
After your treatment
- Rest for the remainder of the day
- Apply ice to the injection site if sore
- Resume light activity after 24–48 hours
- Keep a simple pain diary for your follow-up
